I have run the Veredestien Classic (didn't last long) but now am all in on the Cooper Cobra 215 70 14, in my opinion they are an excellent disposable tire that is good to 118 mph and easy on the wallet. My local tire shop keeps them on hand and I drive the crap out of them!
Sorry to be so late to this. I have Superformance 16 inch rims on my car but for Concours purposes I bought a set of 14 inch earlier this year. I am not really a Concours person, driving my car around 3,500 miles per year in my 11 year ownership, but after a bare metal respray 2 years ago I thought I'd give it a go and one of the areas I lost points was on the wheels.
So having found some wheels I needed tyres and settled on Blockley, a small UK specialist calssic tyre comopany.

Much better value than the big names and for the few hundred miles I have driven on them they work really well. No idea what distribution is like in USA.
I now swap wheels for different events. They are a completely different experiences. I do prefer the 16s for road feel and hard driving (partly because the rears are 8 inch and the 14s are 7 inch) but the 14s are much more comfortable. Horses for courses
