Oil pressure drop in right hand corners.

One of the common complaints on 208/308 models is an oil pressure drop in right hand corners. Assuming the oil level is correct, the primary cause for this is improper oil pick up tube placement in relation to the oil sump finned plate. If the clearance is too great, oil pump cavitation can occur. The remedy is fairly simple, requiring removal of the sump plate, along with some measurements to determine if the screen on the pick up tube is within app. 3/8" of the sump plate. If the distance is greater than the specification, the tube will have to be modified to get the proper clearance.
